Prevalence of Statin Therapy Use in US Adults According to Statin Eligibility Groups: 2018 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Treatment of Blood Cholesterol in Adults

Use data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) to explore the current percentage of US adults currently using statin therapy according to statin eligibility groups outlined in the 2018 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Treatment of Blood Cholesterol in Adults. This data visualization also includes estimates of the number of adults in the US population that are eligible for and currently using statin therapy. These visualizations also include new population estimates by sex and race/ethnicity.
