2006-2017 Mortality Data for Total Cardiovascular Disease, Stroke, & Coronary Heart Disease (2017)
This slide set illustrates age-adjusted 2007-2016 mortality rates for total cardiovascular disease, stroke, and coronary heart disease. For each of these three categories, data are displayed for the total population and by race and ethnicity; actual rates are also compared to rates that correspond with progress toward achievement of the AHA’s 2020 Impact Goal to reduce mortality from these diseases by 20 percent.
